About Me
My name is Gracie Jensen. Like many trainers out there, I got into the business after I adopted my rescue puppy Milo who turned my world upside down! He challenged me in so many ways, and I have learned so much from him.
After graduating from Catch Canine Training Academy, I have been working professionally with dogs for 5 years. Much of my work has been with difficult behavioral challenges involving fear, anxiety and aggression. I have been a volunteer at Seattle Animal Shelter for 4 years, working on their behavior team.
I know personally how difficult it can be raising a dog that turns your world upside down. I was a typical dog guardian with my sweet Golden Retriever, Charlie, and I had no clue how difficult things could get before adopting Milo. It is often a very alienating situation. You watch others take their dogs to the park and to the pub, but it’s often too stressful just to go for a neighborhood walk with your own. Personally, I wasn’t able to have anyone enter my home, even my partner. I often felt like I had to give up my own life just to keep him in mine.
Everything I learned from my traditional, positive reinforcement training was working for many dogs but still was not moving the needle for my own. It took years of diving down rabbit holes and learning from the right people before I cracked the code, and now I’m able to help so many other dogs. I thank Milo every day for pushing me to the level I am at today.
